The High Tatras, together with Kežmark, Poprad and Zakopane, are a natural center of tourism in the High Tatras. Its area is 380 km². It is located entirely on the territory of TANAP, in the High and Belianske Tatras, in the northwestern part of Spiš. The city is part of the district of Poprad. The High Tatras are connected by the Freedom Road, leading from Podbanský to Tatranská Kotlina. The Tatra Electric Railway (TEŽ) connects Tatranská Lomnica with Vyšné Hágy and continues to Štrbské Pleso (local part of Štrba). Through Starý Smokovec, TEŽ continues to Poprad, from where it is possible to continue transport by rail, road or air.

The High Tatras attract tourists from all over Slovakia and the surrounding countries, because they offer a wide range of leisure opportunities in every season. In winter, visitors are greeted by snowy slopes, in spring, summer and autumn by spectacular mountain peaks. In the High Tatras, however, there are many attractions and attractions outside nature. Take advantage of our historic trams to travel for adventure and enrich your trip with another experience.
